At a padel club
Clubs often run open games and Americanos by level, and the staff know who is missing a fourth player.
Padel
Short answer: padel is played only in pairs — two against two, four people per court, and if one drops out, the court is wasted. That’s why games are arranged in chats: someone books a court for an hour and a half and looks for the fourth player. Look for such groups at clubs and in your city’s padel chats. Can’t find one? Start your own: a court, a Telegram group and a bot with sign-ups and a waitlist, so the fourth is always there.

Every city with courts has “looking for a fourth tomorrow” chats. Find them in Telegram and WhatsApp — expat chats too.
Many clubs take court bookings through apps, sometimes with open matches. Handy for a one-off game — but a regular group still lives in a chat.
A court is exactly 4 people. A group on 2–4 courts is an Americano for 8–16 players: pairs rotate so everyone plays with everyone. Here’s how to stop hunting for a fourth at the last minute.
for an hour and a half at a regular time — or several courts for an Americano.
of players at a similar level. The bigger the group, the easier it is to fill the four.
a recurring one, with 4 spots per court and the court fee. The bot posts the sign-up card on schedule by itself.
Once the four is complete, the next people join the waitlist. Someone cancels — the first person on the waitlist gets the spot, and the game goes ahead.
A padel game card: 4 of 4 spots, one on the waitlist in case someone cancels, the court split four ways.
Set 4 spots per court — the fifth joins the waitlist. For an Americano — 8, 12 or 16.
One of the four cancels — the next person on the waitlist gets the spot right away and a private message from the bot.
The court fee is divided among those signed up, and the share recalculates by itself. Money doesn’t go through the bot.
Before the game, the admin splits the players into pairs — at random or evenly by level — and posts them in the chat.
Set a minimum of 4. A day before, the organizer gets a message if the four isn’t complete.
Up to three reminders in private messages — say, a day and two hours before.
Four: padel is only played two against two. For an Americano — multiples of four: 8 on two courts, 12 on three, 16 on four.
Ask at the club — they know players’ levels — and look for your city’s padel chats. Once you have 6–8 players of a similar level, start a regular group: the four will always fill up.
Add Docker Event Bot to the group and create an event with 4 spots per court. A card with a “Join” button appears in the chat, and the list and waitlist update by themselves. All the ways compared — in the guide to sign-ups in Telegram groups.
Enter the fee — the card shows the share per person and recalculates it every time someone joins or leaves. You collect the money yourselves: the bot doesn’t take payments.
Yes: no subscription and no payments through the bot. Players don’t install anything — Telegram is enough.
Add the bot to your padel chat — the first sign-up card is a minute away.
